What does it mean to have a library account in "Good Standing"?

Answer

"Good Standing" is defined by Policy 202.00:

A patron is considered in good standing when NONE of the following conditions exist:

  • Has outstanding fees or fines of $5 or more.
  • Has overdue materials.
  • Has returned checks due to insufficient funds.
  • Has interlibrary loan claims.
  • Has had borrowing privileges suspended or revoked by Library Director.
  • Has more than 5 current Claim Returns on their account.

If you have any of the above conditions on your account, you will be unable to borrow material until it is cleared. If you believe any of the conditions are in error, please contact a library to discuss your questions or concerns.
